»Photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place. It has little to do with the things you see, and everything to do with how you see them.«
– Elliott Erwitt (*1928, Paris)
Welcome to my homepage. I am a person fond of art, music and all things inspiring. Photography is one of these inspiring art forms I enjoy a lot. On this page you will find a collection of my favourite photographs. I take photos all over the world, so have a look at the different categories, including places, humans and nature in general.
To me the small details are the most interesting part of photography – trying to find a certain perspective which allows for a certain part of the frame to be focused on, a special moment, look or light that we might never experience that way again. Perhaps it is about preserving moments.
»Have no fear of perfection, you’ll never reach it.«
– Salvador Dalí (1904–1989)
And then there is abstract art. Perhaps the opposite of photography, but somehow also related. While taking photos is all about controlling the instruments you use, abstract art means letting go. All I do is direct what can or can not happen (which doesn’t mean that’s always what does or does not happen…). So I enjoy experimenting and finding out what might be the right thing for me whilst sharing my experience with my readers.
